New Office Building for National Instruments

The new facility at the National Instruments site in Debrecen is 90% ready.

The new office will house 250 employees with state-of-the-art architectural and environmental solutions once complete.

Interior design work is almost complete on the so-called D building. The 6,000-square-foot, 4-story office complex is an extension of the National Instruments facility in Debrecen. The continuous development of the company justifies the expansion.

The customer service, legal and IT departments will be able to work in world-class conditions.

The project also paid close attention to environmental considerations.

“Energy, water consumption and electricity consumption will be minimized while the lighting will only be where colleagues are moving. The heating will occur during ventilation, so the eco-footprint of this will be very small”, said Lászó Ábrahám, Managing Director of NI Hungary Kft.

László Papp, Mayor of Debrecen, recalled that National Instruments was the first company to invest in the city back in 2001. At that time, the city was trying to attract high-tech companies to Debrecen.

“I think, and I am quite sure of that, that these high-tech companies can further develop in Debrecen in the future. Today, National Instruments employs more than 1,500 people”, said the mayor.

The investment costs HUF 5,5 billion and almost half of it is supported by the government. With almost all of the new positions already filled, the new facility of NI is expected to operate by the end of 2019.
