People living and working in the frontier zone can go to work.
According to an agreement between the governments of Hungary and Romania, citizens of the two countries who have their declared address or workplace within 30-30 kilometres of the border, and those who arrive for healthcare purposes can cross the border without having to undergo quarantine for 14 days. Commuters must have a residence card and a certificate of employment, and travellers arriving for healthcare purposes must have a referral.
