More than 1 Million cubic meter mould had to be bored and diverted on the area, than almost 600 thousand cubic meter soil stabilisation material was needed to make the surface even.
The land preparation works are going just as planned. The development area will be owned competely by the company in instalments, by next spring.
Michele Melchiorre, Managing Director BMW Manufacturing Hungary Ltd.: “Today’s contract signing for the Sales and Purchase Agreement is another important milestone for the construction of our production site in Debrecen. The City of Debrecen and the EDC have been preparing the site for months now. It is very impressive what already happened onsite. For our future plant skilled workforce is the foundation to achieve the highest quality of our premium products. And I can tell you proudly: first hiring was very successful and since August our first four Hungarian colleagues have joined the project team.”
