Enterprise Registration
Act CXXI of 1999 on economic chambers lays down a set of rights and obligations for both enterprises and economic chambers.*
Enterprises (both individual and corporate enterprises) must:
- apply for registration to the regional chamber.
- to pay an annual contribution (by March 31 of the current year) to the National Chamber of Commerce (MKIK) for the performance of the chamber’s public duties.
Chambers must:
- issue a certificate as proof of contribution payment.
- provide enterprises with their statutory services for free (giving economic, financial, tax, and borrowing advice; seeking business partners and tender monitoring).

*The Act does not apply to agriculture. Likewise, private veterinaries, lawyers, individual patent administrators, notaries public and individual court bailiffs need not apply for registration.
