New ESG-toolkit for SMEs
As part of the national ESG program of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK), an ESG toolkit publication has been prepared, which provides practical assistance tailored to the needs of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises in preparing for ESG.
ESG, i.e. Environmental, Social and Governance factors, is an investment and corporate evaluation framework that examines how responsible a company is in the areas of environmental protection, social impacts, such as employee rights, and good corporate governance, such as transparency, ethics, and anti-corruption – the announcement explains.
Sustainability and responsible corporate governance have become a defining element of business operations today. ESG aspects are playing an increasingly important role in supplier relationships, tender evaluations and financing decisions, which is why conscious preparation is of paramount importance for businesses – they point out.
The toolkit aims to provide easy-to-use, sector-independent assistance to businesses that want to make their operations more transparent, meet market expectations and prepare for changes in the sustainability and regulatory environment. The toolkit not only provides information on ESG requirements, but also offers immediately applicable patterns and structured solutions to support everyday corporate operations – they wrote.
The publication was commissioned by the MKIK Enterprise Development Project, coordinated by the Győr-Moson-Sopron County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and supported by the Government of Hungary.
The publication related to the ESG Program, as well as the downloadable Excel templates and information, are available HERE (HU).
