The Széchenyi Card Program’s Agricultural Széchenyi Investment Loan MAX+ scheme can be applied for with four new support titles from April 1, 2026, the change provides broader financing options for domestic SMEs.

The modified terms and conditions of the Széchenyi Card Program are set out in the Kavosz Zrt. Széchenyi Card Program Business Rules – they wrote in the announcement.

They recalled that the government has so far provided the interest, management costs and guarantee fee subsidies related to the credit fees of enterprises under the Széchenyi Card Program exclusively as so-called small-amount subsidies, which particularly limited the possibilities for providing support in the agricultural sector, given that the total amount of subsidies that can be provided to a given enterprise over a 3-year period under this title was maximized at EUR 50,000.

In the case of the new block exemption support titles that are now being introduced, as a general rule, only the support intensity of the given project will need to be examined in the event of compliance with the support conditions under the given title, which in many cases will enable the financing of new agricultural investments of enterprises from the Agricultural Széchenyi Investment Loan even if the enterprise’s small-amount budget has been used up or if it intends to save money, they wrote in the statement.

The Agricultural Széchenyi Investment Loan MAX+ is a loan with a maximum loan amount of HUF 750 million, with a term of up to 10 years, which can be widely used to implement development ideas specifically aimed at agricultural investment loan purposes. The joint guarantee of the Agricultural Business Loan Guarantee Foundation helps enterprises access loans in this scheme.
