Hungary will repave about 1,000km of roads at a cost of 190 billion forints (EUR 520m) this year, the Innovation and Technology Ministry said on Friday.

The roadwork will be undertaken in more than 350 projects, the ministry said.

József Szilvai, the CEO of state road maintenance company Magyar Közút Nonprofit, said 2021 would be a “record year” in terms of the number and scale of projects.
