The Green economy 2026 volume of studies is now available on nearly 300 pages, the result of a year’s work by more than 80 leading green industry experts. The online version (HU) is now available free of charge.

Amidst the increasing climate, nature and environmental protection tasks, the Association of Environmental Service Providers and Manufacturers (KSZGYSZ) has collected and published its professional publication for the third time, which, in addition to being up-to-date, objective, scientifically based knowledge, outlines the environmental problems to be solved in the near future and possible ways to solve them.

The aim of the publication is for the biannual study volume to play a decisive role in the green transition in Central-Eastern Europe and South-Eastern Europe, and to draw attention to the intellectual and innovation potential of the Hungarian green industry, as well as its more efficient financing options. Thus, getting to know and further considering the study generates new opportunities and innovations at all levels of politics, economy and society. At the same time, it will also be useful for students who are still continuing their studies, but who will shape our common future, who need to see what skills they will need to succeed in the future, in the ever-accelerating technical and technological environment.

The authors, professionals working in the green industry, take the most important fields of expertise in the volume, amidst EU expectations, domestic regulations and the often-mentioned “urgent present” circumstances. Among other things, readers can read a featured analysis on the present and future of battery production, the global and European situation of the plastics industry, the health effects of microplastics, and developments in education and attitude formation in environmental protection and sustainability.

After the summary, it was necessary to take stock and raise knowledge to a new level in order to move forward in the right direction. As the words of Lao Tzu are quoted in the current volume: “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” This is the step, because changing circumstances, new tasks require new knowledge, a new approach and we need to change steps on this path, the direction is there, we should change the pace.

The direction is good, but meanwhile the commitments towards the green transition are weakening further, and sustainability does not yet go hand in hand with competitiveness, and even after the global acceptance of climate change, we have experienced major setbacks from the “common multiple”… Therefore, Green economy 2026 orients the reader towards more modest but more certain goals, motivating everyone to take action – summarizes the conclusions, managing director and editor Gergely Hankó.
